Audubon Park in a community of about 320 homes, most built from the mid 90s to 2003. Residents' HOA fee includes access to an outdoor pool with a pool house, two tennis courts, and a playground. Audubon Park is very close to Research Triangle Park, about a mile. It is also a quick commute to Duke, ~15 minutes, and to UNC, ~20 minutes. It is located just off Sedwick Road, which intersects NC Hwy 55 about a mile south of the intersection of NC 54 and NC 55.

On Sedwick Road, you'll see the gentle curved open entrance into Audubon Park on the left. The main road through the community is Whisperwood and it divides the community into two neighborhoods, Sanderling to the west and Turnstone to the east. Squires, AKA Beazer built the homes in Sanderling. Torrey and R.W. Lee built the Sanderling homes. Most of the homes are fiber cement or hardboard sided, with some brick and some vinyl sided. While the majority of the homes here are traditional in style, a few are transitionals and there are even find a few ranches and 1 1/2 story homes. Even as homes have appreciated steadily in Audubon Park, about 4% appreciation in 2007, home buyers will find that Audubon Park homes are less per SqFt than many area neighborhoods and at this price point, homeowners get to enjoy a newer home and have a garage!

Nearby amenities include Greenwood shopping center with a fitness center and Thai, Mexican, and diner style restaurants. The major retail center of Streets of South Pointe is only a five minute drive. Audubon Park is very centrally located to the Triangle area as a whole.
